Ghost VFX appoints Julian Levi Executive Vice President, North America

Renowned VFX Industry Veteran Joins Executive Leadership Team in Pivotal Role

Ghost VFX today announced the appointment of Julian Levi as executive vice president, North America. A key addition to the studio’s executive leadership team, Levi will play a pivotal role in the strategic direction and growth for Ghost VFX on a global scale. Based in Los Angeles, he will oversee the sophisticated talent, technology, and services offered by Ghost VFX, while also working closely with other members of the executive team, including for collaborations with Ingenuity Studios.

With a career spanning 30 years, Levi has worked with legendary directors including Ron Howard, Clint Eastwood, Roland Emmerich, Gareth Edwards, and Joel and Ethan Coen, to name a few. His experience covers a long list of feature films including early involvement on Braveheart and The Last Action Hero at the outset of his career at R/Greenberg Associates. Following that, Levi was a senior VFX producer at Digital Domain for more than 12 years for such films as O Brother Where Art Thou?, The Day After Tomorrow, Stealth, Speed Racer, How the Grinch Stole Christmas, and Flags of Our Fathers (VES Awards Winner.) After Digital Domain, Levi served as executive producer at MPC, with representative films including Godzilla, X-Men: First Class, Prometheus, Life of Pi (VFX Academy Award® Winner), The Jungle Book (VFX Academy Award® Winner), and Guardians of the Galaxy (VFX Academy Award® Nominee.) During his time at MPC, he also served as general manager. Levi was appointed interim vice president of VFX at Paramount Pictures after his time with MPC. Most recently, he was overall production VFX producer for Oscar-nominee and five-time VES Award-winner, The Creator, at New Regency Productions.
